In association with the International Higher Academic Council (IHAC) - St. Petersburg, Russia, International University of Fundamental Studies (IUFS) - St. Petersburg, Russia and Objectif Sciences International- Switzerland, The Ararat International Academy Of Sciences - France, celebrated its 30th Anniversary by organizing the 7th Scientific World Congress at the U.N.O. Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland , on the 5th, 6th and 7th of September 2016, under the theme “Science, Education & Culture for Justice & Peace.”
Prof. Agop Kerkiacharian-President of Ararat International Academy of Sciences, chaired the occasion as the President of the Congress while Prof. Shanti P. Jayasekara- Chancellor of the IHAC ,IUFS and Prof. Thomas Egli- President of Objectif Sciences International were the Co-Presidents of the congress, honored with the participation of great personalities such as, Her Highness Prof. Nina Menegatto- The Princess of Principality of Seborga, Dr. S.P. Singh Oberoi- Hon. Consul General of India, Prof. J.S.K. Jayasekara - Vice-President of IHAC, Dr. Ari Topouzkhanian - Secretary General, Ararat International Academy, Ambassador, Hon. Sarath Ekanayake - Chief Minister Central Province, Sri Lanka and many other executives.
Many world renowned Scientists participated to this special occasion representing over 85 countries and submitted their dissertation research reports to the modern world.
Representing Sri Lanka, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament and the President of Sri Lanka Cricket, Hon. Thilanga Sumathipala, Deputy Minister of Cultural Affairs Hon. Palitha Thewarapperuma and Minister of Disaster Management, Hon. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa conveyed greetings messages to the congress which were read out by Prof. J.S.K. Jayasekara and Miss Kalani Jayasekara respectively.
Miss Kalani Jayasekara- Sri Lanka, 19, compered the Program, thereby making history as the youngest ever to participate and compere at a World Scientific Congress, held at U.N.O. Headquarter Premises, Geneva, also awarded as the “Best Announcer for the Year 2016”, among 85 countries. She is a student of O.K.I. International School, Wattala, and was the Head Prefect for the year 2013-2014, which guided her for the success.
Professional Artist, Mr. Sajeewa Upashantha Perera conducted a cultural Show, which exposed Sri Lankan music to the world. He made history as the first ever Sri Lankan Singer to perform Sri Lankan Folk Songs and music, at U.N.O.HQ premises, highlighting the beauty of our mother Lanka, our traditional dances associated with Sri Lankan Culture and conveying meaningful morals regarding Buddhism and life (Sansara) through his creations.
All the Scientists were awarded and honored. The congress was adjourned successfully, hoping a similar success in the upcoming World Scientific Congresses which are due to be held as well.
The next, 8th World Scientific Congress is due to be held at St.Petersburg Russia 28-29 Nov. 2016.
